By defining cheque templates, you actually set\u00a0the printing location of various fields, such as Name, Date, Amount in Words etc and hence it is a crucial\u00a0task in configuring Quick Cheque. The Cheque templates screens are different for different editions of the software and hence it is important that you read the instruction carefully for your edition.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #4b088a;\">Lite Edition<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<h4><strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Steps to be followed to Add a Cheque Template\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Open the Quick Cheque Application.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Click the <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Cheque Template<\/span> button on Transaction Menu. A list of existing cheque templates will open up.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">You can click <em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Add<\/span> <\/em>button to create a new Cheque Template or double click any of the listed templates so as to edit them.<\/li>\n<li>In either case, a\u00a0pop up window opens asking for the inputs for adding\u00a0the Cheque Template\u00a0in Quick Cheque. Kindly note that the mandatory fields are having a\u00a0<span style=\"background-color: #ffff00;\">Yellow Background<\/span>\u00a0and must be entered in order to save the Cheque Template.\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Template Name<\/strong>\u00a0\u25ba Provide a unique name for each template so as to easily identify and select the template while creating cheque books. A good practice is to use the Bank name along with the cheque size as the template name.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Amount in Words Prefix and Suffix<\/strong>\u00a0\u25ba This is a static text which appears at the beginning and end of the\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Amount in Words<\/em><\/span>\u00a0field each time a cheque is printed using this cheque template. In case you want the amount in words to be appearing as <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">* Ten Thousand Only ***<\/span>. then you need to put <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">*<\/span> in the prefix and <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Only<\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">***<\/span> in the\u00a0suffix fields.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Amount in Numbers Prefix and Suffix<\/strong>\u00a0\u25ba Same logic as stated above applies to the\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Amount in Numbers<\/em><\/span>\u00a0field.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Cheque Image Select &amp; Reset<\/strong>\u00a0\u25ba You can scan and upload a cheque image using the select button. Although having the cheque image assists you in placing the fields correctly, it is not a must to create cheque templates. The reset button can be used for resetting the cheque image for the selected template.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Select Font<\/strong>\u00a0\u25ba Quick Cheque allows you to select various font styles and colors when printing cheques. You can setup the same using the\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Select Font<\/span><em>\u00a0<\/em>button at the Cheque Template and all cheques printed will follow the setting by default. This can however be overridden at the time of printing cheques.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Cheque Size<\/strong>\u00a0\u25ba Cheque Size is the total Height &amp; Width of the Cheque measured by a scale and is required to\u00a0guide the printer for knowing the start and end positions of the cheque. You need to specify the <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Height (H)<\/span> and <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Width (W)<\/span> for each cheque template in these fields<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Units<\/strong>\u00a0\u25ba All measurements can be entered either in <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">cm<\/span> or <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">inches<\/span> and the entry mode can be selected using the\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Units<\/span>\u00a0dropdown.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Template Settings<\/strong>\u00a0\u25ba This is where we have to define the exact spot, i.e. the X and the Y axis values for each of the fields to be printed on the cheque. You can either key in these values or drag and drop the fields on the designer to adjust the location. Do not forget to read the &#8220;<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">How to measure cheques<\/span>&#8221; link on the screen.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Currency\u00a0<\/strong>\u25ba You can select the default currency which this template will follow. This, however can be changed on a cheque by cheque basis while creating the cheques.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Language\u00a0<\/strong>\u25ba You\u00a0can select either of the three supported languages English, Arabic or French as the language for this template. This selection decides on what language is used by default for printing cheques using this template.\u00a0This, however can be changed on a cheque by cheque basis while creating the cheques.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Word Length\u00a0<\/strong>\u25ba Enter the character\u00a0length that can be accommodated on\u00a0the first line of the amount in words field. The amount in words will be wrapped up into the second line after this character length is reached on the first line. This primarily provides a listing of all data or records existing in Quick Cheque corresponding to a screen. The Cheque template can be edited by using the edit button on the Grid or by double clicking on the template you wish to edit. The grid displays the Template name and Bank Name. The grid also comes with a feature of filtering which makes you easier to find the template you added.<\/p>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>Test Print<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Quick Cheque allows you to make a test print for the Cheque Template you added. Double click on the template or click edit button on the grid ,a screen opens in which you can find a button Test Print. Click on it.
